Today, South Africa comes to a pause as women across the country take part in the Women For Change Shutdown, a national stand-still calling attention to the rising levels of gender-based violence, femicide, and the urgent need for real accountability and reform.

From Durban’s South Beach to cities and towns nationwide, thousands are stepping out to say: “Enough is enough.”
