Beliefs follow us throughout our entire lives. And I’m not talking about religion.
I’m talking about the beliefs we develop about ourselves, our abilities, and our lives. In other words, the stories we keep telling ourselves—and others. Stories that define us, even if they don’t always reflect reality.
“I’m just running a small project.”“What I did was just a coincidence.”“I’m not important here—my needs don’t matter.”“My idea is small and stupid; I’d better leave it.”
Sound familiar?
Maybe you're also carrying a belief—a story—that’s stopping you from changing jobs, taking that trip you've been dreaming of, or starting your own business.
Join us in this week’s conversation as Ela explains what beliefs are and where they come from, while Stasia deconstructs some of her own.And we’ve got a handy framework to help you deconstruct your own beliefs, too.
