  • Building a resilient tourism business with Kelly Khun

Owner operator and Master Juggler, Kelly Kuhn has worked in the South Australian tourism industry for 3 decades, in private enterprise, not-for profit and more government departments than she cares to count, She is the winner of an ‘Inspirational Women of the World’ award based in Bali during 2024, past Deputy Mayor of Mid Murray Council and Board Member of the Murray River, Lakes and Coorong Tourism Alliance.

Kelly is the founder of her local River Murray Community Progress Association. Kelly’s businesses, Juggle House Experiences and River Murray Dark Sky Tours provide innovative and personalised travel adventures in South Australia. Starting off just 1 year before Covid, and enduring the 1-in-100 year Murray River floods, Kelly’s businesses have operated half their time in a declared State of Emergency, Despite this, accolades include Gold and Silver in the South Australian Tourism Awards thriving as a tour operator excelling in collaboration. The signature tour has been operating in Australia’s first internationally declared Dark Sky Reserve for 5 years. Customers from all over the world coming to see the stars for the first time in their lives is what keeps the team’s motivation high.

It’s been a bit of secret from customers til now, that Kelly has always been afraid of the dark since growing up a child on a farm with an outside toilet, and she did not pay attention at Karoonda Area School science lessons to know if there are rings around Saturn or Jupiter! Kelly is often asked to MC regional events and is currently seen a rising star in guest speaking roles at conferences.

  • Brand psychology and the power of positioning with Tara Ladd

Tara Ladd founded Your One & Only because she was fed up with brands that looked pretty but felt completely empty. Using behavioural psychology and a knack for spotting what everyone else completely misses, she creates brands that don’t just stand out, they actually stand for something real.

With over 18 years in the industry, including 8 running her own studio and a decade working with massive brands like Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, and Telstra, Tara knows her way around strategy. But her real passion? Wellness work that actually matters. We’re talking mental health advocacy, neurodivergence support, chronic illness navigation, reproductive health conversations, disability access, and healthcare system reform.

Based in South Western Sydney, she’s a big-thinking creative who isn’t afraid of the messy stuff. Her studio specialises in brands that tackle the topics other people whisper about; the ones calling out medical bias, making space for bodies and minds that don’t fit the “wellness industry” mould, fighting for better systems instead of just prettier packaging.

As a neurodivergent entrepreneur with ADHD, Tara gets it. Thinking differently isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s a superpower. She’s also a mum of 2 neurodivergent kids (one’s a transplant recipient), which means she’s seen firsthand how broken some of our systems really are.

She’s not here to create another ‘safe’ brand that says nothing. She’s here to help you build something that makes people stop, think, and feel like they finally found their people.

In this episode, we talk about brand psychology and the power of positioning.
