On January 12th,  250+ members of the Women in Chemicals community were joined by the team at ICIS  for a presentation on the current state of the chemical industry from the team at ICIS including insights on the economic outlook, current trends and expectations for commodity markets, supply chain challenges, sustainability, and the importance of diversity and inclusion within the industry.

As part of our education initiatives, we will be highlighting nominees from other organizations that are adding value to the chemical industry. Dr. White was a nominee of Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI). Recognizing a lack of diversity throughout the STEM workforce, in November of 2020, the American Chemistry Council, AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers, The Chemours Company and HBCU WEEK FOUNDATION, INC. partnered to establish the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI). This national industry-wide program seeks to increase the number of underrepresented professionals in the STEM workforce by providing scholarships to students pursuing preferred STEM degrees at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
