For the 17th episode, Kate Hutson joins Delbar to talk Women in Health. While Kate is not a women in health herself, she has the expertise we all need to hear and learn from. Kate who was a former teacher and now works as a life coach in San Diego has worked with women from all professions including the health industry. On this episode, she talks about the trends she sees between her male and female clients and gives us an outside perspective on what women in health mean to her. 

Part 2: Born and raised in NYC, Angel Shannon now lives in Maryland working as a Nurse Practitioner running her own practice. She joins Delbar this week, to talk Women in Health.  In Part 2, Angel talks about the race and gender inequalities she faced while living in Maryland and NYC. She also reminds women, especially women of colour the three most important things they need and discusses the importance of education and how that ties in with Women in Health. As always Angel leaves us with an amazing piece of advice and wraps up the second part of this episode.

Carol Shwery joins Delbar for the 14th episode of Women in Health, to discuss her journey as a chiropractor and functional medicine specialist. Being a health practitioner for more than 40 years, Carol talks about the criticism she received while starting out her career and the patterns she sees between her patients with one particularly interesting story about a female patient who gravitates towards male practitioners. As always, Carol leaves us with a sweet take-home message and advises you to follow your heart and your path, even if you don't fit in!

For the 11th episode of Women in Health, Sabrina Gaiazov is our guest. An epidemiologist based in Virginia, Sabrina talks about the struggles she's faced as a woman. She discusses questions she's been asked during interviews and shares a story about her challenges as a woman of colour once while travelling. In the end, Sabrina leaves you with a great piece of advice her dad taught her, adding to it a great twist of her own. 

Today's guest on Women in Health is Nisha Kazmi.  After taking a career aptitude test, Nisha knew she wanted to be a nurse, but it took her many years to change the perception of those around her about what nursing is and what nurses do. In this episode, she talks about the challenges she faced and how nurses are viewed even today. Nisha chose to overcome her barriers and is now a nursing student at the University of Calgary, ready to take on further challenges.  

Hala Abusin is this week's guest on Women in Health. Moving from Sudan at the age of 16, Hala has worked hard for her success. Now, a Community Pharmacist as well as a start-up entrepreneur, Hala looks back and talks about her journey. She talks about her own life and admires the strength of other immigrants. Teaching English to non-native speakers, being a mom, a wife, a pharmacist, an entrepreneur, Hala's message to all of you is "Make YOUR life your message".
