Jay Vickers, the Chief Operating Officer for UNLV's Sports
Innovation Institute, brings over twenty years of senior
leadership experience to his role. With a diverse skill set
spanning management, fundraising, sales, marketing,
customer service, grant acquisition, sports health, research,
public speaking, and community engagement, Jay has
consistently delivered tangible results throughout his
career.
Jay's comprehensive understanding of the dynamics within
higher education institutions enables him to align external
divisions with institutional and community objectives
effectively. This alignment has been instrumental in
bolstering revenue streams and fostering collaborative
ventures that benefit both UNLV and its surrounding
communities.

Among Jay's notable achievements are securing a $3.25 million appropriation for education,
research, and innovation initiatives. His leadership was also pivotal in achieving NSHE (Nevada
System of Higher Education) approved Institute status in record time, a testament to his strategic
acumen and collaborative approach.
Jay's commitment to student success and community engagement is evident in his orchestration
of the first fully paid Super Bowl internship for 40 UNLV students. This initiative, in collaboration
with the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee, NFL Foundation, and United Way of Southern
Nevada, provided invaluable opportunities for students to gain real-world experience in the sports
industry.
As a founding member of Game Changers United, the U.S. Soccer Federation Board for Diversity,
Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, he has been instrumental in driving positive change within the
industry. Working alongside the Federation, he has played a crucial role in breaking down barriers
and creating a more inclusive environment within the entire U.S. Soccer ecosystem.
Additionally, Jay has played a key role in the creation of the inaugural Sports, Entertainment &
Innovation Conference (SEICon), scheduled for July 15-17, 2024. This conference promises to be a
groundbreaking event, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to explore
the intersection of sports, entertainment, and innovation.
Through his leadership and vision, Jay Vickers continues to drive the Sports Innovation Institute
forward, positioning UNLV as a global leader in sports innovation.

Tierra Duncan is a women's health author, educator, and advocate dedicated to improving hormone literacy and helping women make informed health decisions. After years of searching for answers about her own health and birth control experience, she recognized how many gaps exist in women's health education and began writing to bridge them.

A certified coach with more than a decade of experience in the fitness and health industry, Tierra combines research-backed education with real-world experience to make complex topics accessible. She is the author of The Birth Control Illusion: Reclaiming Hormones, Health, and Your Cycle. Through her books, speaking engagements, and educational content, she encourages thoughtful conversations about women's health, hormones, and informed decision-making.

Tierra is also a wife, mother, and coffee enthusiast who believes better health starts with better information.

Amy Rosenfeld is part of the production team responsible for planning and executing
the Olympics and Paralympics at NBC Sports that included both the Paris 2024 summer
games, and the 2026 Milan Cortina winter games.
Amy joined NBC in 2022 after 15 years at ESPN where her responsibilities included
coverage of Men’s and Women’s World Cup soccer, NCAA Championships including
gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, softball, volleyball, and wrestling, X Games, the
Indianapolis 500, and the launching of the ACC Network.
Prior to joining ESPN full-time, Amy was a freelance live game producer from 1996-
2007. Amy began her career at New England Sports Network working on Boston Bruins
and Red Sox games.
Born and raised in Concord, Massachusetts, Amy attended Colorado College in
Colorado Springs and currently resides in Carlisle, Massachusetts.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Skunakis is the Manager of Team Services and Events for the ECHL,
joining the league office in January 2026. A native of Morganville, New Jersey, she earned her
master degree in Global Sports Business from Rutgers University, where her involvement with
the football program sparked a passion for the sports industry. Prior to joining the ECHL, Jackie
gained experience in sponsorship activation, fan engagement, partnerships, and event
operations through roles with Rutgers SAMCO, the New York Jets, and MintPros.
In her current role, Jackie serves as a key liaison between the league office and ECHL member
clubs, supporting team operations and league events, including the annual Marketing Meetings
and All-Star Game. She also manages the leagues LinkedIn presence, showcasing league
news, partnerships, and milestones. Outside of work, Jackie co-owns a home-based baking
business, Nothin But Sugga, enjoys OrangeTheory Fitness, and loves spending time with family
and friends. She is excited to be part of the conversation supporting the continued growth of
women in sports.

Lauren Fay is an award-winning author, keynote speaker, life strategist, and empowerment coach who helps individuals build ownership, emotional agility, and aligned decision-making to take meaningful action in their lives, leadership, and work.

Drawing on her experience as a collegiate athlete, fitness leader, and entrepreneur, Lauren’s work is shaped by her own identity transformation. Her coaching career was built on developing leadership, teamwork, and confidence in young women—values she continues to bring to her work today. At Inspirations Med Spa, a women-owned and operated business, Stacy oversees daily operations and supports a team dedicated to providing exceptional aesthetic and wellness experiences. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where clients feel empowered to invest in themselves. Whether leading her team, supporting clients, or cheering on her kids, Stacy is committed to inspiring confidence, building meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact in her community.
