We talk about the systemic failures, a culture of speaking up and the standard we walk past. If we rely on one process to be our safe guard, is it the right standard? Where is the equivalent in our business for walking past the signs OR even worse, ignoring our gut instinct when things just didn’t feel right!

Starting her career as a legal professional left her wanting more. Ingrid found herself looking how she could help people after working in an internal Legal Counsel role. After she loved the Work Health and Safety elements of her role and providing advice Ingrid found her true passion.

Ingrid is now the Manager of Network Safety and Risk and is inspiring others to reflect on their own journey into WHS and how they can apply their skills to WHS and find unique ways into the field. Ingrid also shared how she overcame self doubt and left study at the door to step into her own knowledge and expertise! Inspiring journey!

Amy Douglas knows how to grab attention in under 5 minutes. Working as a mines inspector she knew that quite often she only got one shot at making an impression and changing the views when it came to psychosocial risks on  mine sites.

Amy knew she had to adjust her message for the audience, understand their challenges and be quick to turn them around. These qualities and skills have seen her be well respected as a psychologist, consultant and professional.

This conversation with Amy is a great reminder to think holistically about psychosocial risk and more importantly, think of the controls we implement before we injure someone, not just having the EAP when it’s too late! An inspiring conversation not to be missed!
