But today I want to ask you something:

Do we only reach for God’s peace after everything starts falling apart?

Because I’ve done it too.

You’re already stressed. You’re tired. You’ve got ten things on your mind—and then the text comes in. Someone says something disrespectful. Your child tests your patience. A coworker pushes that one button.

And immediately something inside says, “Oh, we’re answering this right now!”

Sister, I’ve been there too.

And you’re thinking, “Lord… can I just get five minutes without something else happening?”

You start thinking about the bills. Your children. Work. That conversation from earlier. Something you need to handle tomorrow. Then suddenly you're worrying about something that hasn't even happened yet.

I've been there.
