The recent high school shooting is on everyone’s hearts and minds. Host Johnnette Benkovic asks listeners on WOMEN OF GRACE to join her in prayer not only for the victims and their families but for the shooter and his family as well. Rafael on Facebook texts Johnnette “My Mother is dying.. Where is God?” She hears the pain in his heart and shares that we all suffer loss. The parents of the shooting are in pain as well with loss. We must remember what the last line of the Hail Mary is. (Now and at the hour of our death…) God is with us always.

It’s both Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day. On WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic ask what was God thinking or saying to us by giving us this combined day? Johnnette explains that the fast we do on this day was first started in the early church and we are united in this custom. Paullette called and said her priest told her that this combine day was no accident. Valentines is a combination of two words. Val means ‘to go’ and we know what Lent is. So it means “ Go to Lent.”
