God's love or human love? Romantic love or platonic love? We all know there are different kinds of love. But what does the Bible teach us about love? The Bible says that we are to love our enemies and our neighbors, the same as we love ourselves. That's impossible, you say!
Take a listen as I unpack the conversation between Jesus and Peter found in John 21:15-17 and we discuss the different meanings of love.

Love is a word that gets thrown around in our society far too often. We've lost the meaning of love, confusing emotion for the action of love. What is love? How can we walk in love, and rightly judge to know if we are being loved?
Join us as we dive deeper into the very essence of our walk with Christ, the second greatest command, that we love our neighbor as ourselves.
Find us on Facebook and join us every Tuesday on Zoom at 6:30pm.

Mercy triumphs over judgment. Mercy triumphs....blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy. For His mercy endures forever.
What does all this mean for our daily walk with Christ? And how can we possibly have mercy on those awful people who have hurt us so badly, or hurt our loved ones? To have mercy, show mercy means you have compassion or show kindness towards someone. The Bible says that we will only obtain mercy if we have shown mercy. It's hard enough to forgive, but do we really have to show mercy too?
Join us as we unpack scripture and work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

Ever feel like you just got nothing to offer? Yet there is always something in your heart. And out of your heart, the mouth speaks. What's in your heart? What are you speaking, and does it really matter?
The Bible says that it matters a great deal what you speak. God spoke the world into existence, and we're made in the image of God. So it stands to reason that what you speak matters a great deal.
Join us as we talk about the power of our words, as formed in our hearts and our imagination, and challenge each other to pay attention to what we're imagining and the words that we speak.

Jesus said, "Don't be afraid. Just believe." If you've ever struggled with that little word, 'believe', let's talk about it. It's easy to define the word 'believe', but a lot harder to actually define what it means to actually do it.
Jesus answers those followers who asked him, "What does God want us to do?" in John 6:29 ..."This is the work of God, that you believe in Him who He sent."
Victory happens at the moment when you open the door of your heart to believing. And it's not just in believing the word "Jesus". To believe is to have the knowledge of HIm in who you believe. You see, the power of victory comes from Him who is seated on the throne of your heart. That is only where the victory happens when miracles are released in your life.
Join us as we discuss what it means to believe in Jesus...just believe.
Have you ever used the Name of Jesus and been left defeated, heartbroken trying to figure out what went wrong? Maybe you've been in church your whole life and been taught to pray in Jesus' Name, yet your victories in Christ are so slight that you forget you even prayed.
The seven sons of Sceva mentioned in Acts 19 might have felt this way. They were traveling Jewish exorcists, men who made it their life to cast out demons. Yet even Jesus questioned how they were casting out demons (Luke 11:19). These sons of Sceva heard the message of Jesus from Paul, then attempted to use the Name for themselves, and they were sorely defeated. The demon said to them, "Jesus I know; and Paul I am acquainted with. But who are you?"
If you've ever felt like this, then take a listen here. Knowledge of the Christ IN YOU makes all the difference in the world. From casting out demons, to healing the sick (or yourself), having an increasing knowledge of the Greater One IN YOU will transform your life.
Read Acts 19:11-18

Mark 1:8 says…but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Every believer, everyone who calls themselves a disciple of Christ should seek and expect such a baptism with the Holy Spirit. Even Jesus was baptized with the Holy Spirit, as a separate experience from water baptism. Jesus commanded his disciples in Luke, “I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” The disciples needed to be empowered by the Holy Spirit before they went out and preached the gospel to all nations. If Jesus commanded it prior to service to Him, shouldn’t we be seeking such a baptism as this? What does baptism mean, and why is it so important?
Join us as we begin to unpack the subject of the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
