Traci, from the Road to Tar Valon and Paperback Cabaret, and I jump into the mammoth topic that is: Women of the French Revolution. It represents an ocean of societal change, extreme positions, rebellion, rights, equality, inequality, genders, thoughts, principles, treason, promise and deceit and hundreds of ideas that crash together to bring down a monarch, kill thousands, reign terror and then raise an emperor. Within this chasm of rebirth are the women who inspired, guided and maintained it. A very small number of those women are introduced today. They are all so fascinating in their own rights.

Traci is great in how she not only sums up the fine intricacies of 18th century French politics and society, but also how she adds her own thoughts and concerns into the mix. “The stresser is on being compassionate. If you don’t have that, you’re not going to be able to access that part of people’s brains that makes decisions.”

At the end Traci also makes some great suggestion for books to read so if you are into books too, then you simply cannot do without giving these a try. They are on my list too.
