What if the life you built no longer fits the woman you've become?
In this episode of the Women of Wealth Podcast, Hawley Woods Gray and Allie Ramo sit down with Kim Costa, keynote speaker, author of Live in Your Wheelhouse, creator of the Wheelhouse Method, and luxury real estate professional serving North Atlanta.
After nearly three decades in residential design, construction, and finance, Kim found herself at a turning point. On paper, she had built a beautiful and successful life. But underneath it all, something wasn't aligned. One of the clearest signs? After winning an essay contest for The Oprah Winfrey Show, Kim actually turned down the opportunity to have the show come to her home because she felt too overwhelmed by the life and environment she had created. That realization eventually became part of a much bigger reinvention.
Kim shares how she navigated divorce, remarriage, an empty nest, a career change, and a new home while learning to make decisions based on who she truly was rather than what she thought she was supposed to be.
Today, she helps others do the same through her Wheelhouse Method, which looks at eight interconnected areas of life: finance, health, environment, career, romance, fun and leisure, spirituality, and family and friends.
In this conversation, Kim explores why your home is about far more than square footage or beautiful countertops. It can either support your wealth, freedom, relationships, health, and future or quietly hold you back from the life you're trying to create.
Hawley, Allie, and Kim discuss why midlife can be one of the most powerful seasons for reinvention, how to recognize when you've outgrown a previous version of your life, and why major transitions aren't always the time to rush into the next big decision.
Kim also shares a simple but powerful piece of advice for women facing divorce, an empty nest, retirement, relocation, or another major life change: hit the pause button. Before making an expensive or permanent decision, take the time to determine what you actually want your next chapter to look like.
