Rachel Andrade has spent the last fifteen years serving adolescents through the ministry of Young Life in the Heights, but her story began long before ministry.

Raised in poverty by a single mother, Rachel’s childhood was marked by abuse, heartbreak, and a relentless search for significance. As a teenager, she became a young mother and later married the love of her life, but unresolved wounds from both of their pasts eventually brought their marriage to a breaking point.

After exhausting every path she thought would bring healing and happiness, Rachel found herself asking the questions she could no longer answer on her own.

Today, Rachel has been married to her husband, Bobby, for 29 years, and together they have raised four sons. In this conversation, she shares the unexpected journey that changed everything - from brokenness and hopelessness to a life she never imagined was possible - and why she now dedicates her life to helping the next generation discover lasting hope.
