Ellie McCutcheon is a drone cinematographer specializing in storytelling techniques. Based out of Northern California, Ellie teaches at The UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and is a Brand Ambassador for Women Who Drone. She has shot footage for Netflix, The Washington Post, and NPR, among other notable clients.
In addition to film, Ellie flies drones for infrastructure inspection on electrical transmission lines. Her favorite projects take her deep into wild places, whether that's driving trucks deep into the forest for utilities work or filming desert moonscapes with a man in a spacesuit.
Ellie's newest frontier is drone mapping and utilizing 3D modelling to aid landowners in planning and designing for land projects on their properties.
