For veterans in the Downriver area without reliable transportation, going downtown to Detroit for basic needs such as clothes and food can be difficult or even impossible. Rose Ann Rudisill knew something needed to be done to make these things more accessible. She decided to start to Downriver for Veterans. Rose Ann is an Air Force veteran and this week's WCSX "Woman Who Rocks".

When you watch a sporting event, most people wouldn't pay attention to the turf, or the field the game is played on. Meet Amy Fouty the athletic turf manager at Michigan State. After hearing hear story and what goes into maintaining the field at Spartan stadium, you will never watch a game againw without noticing the beautiful green grass that cushions the feet of every athlete that steps on it. Amy is an extraordinary woman, and this week's WCSX "Woman Who Rocks".

For thirty one years this weeks' "Woman Who Rocks" has dedicated her life to the public sector. Meet Jennifer Litomisky the executive director of the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit. Jennifer spends her time raising funds for the charity to make sure families have a "home away from home" while trying to cope with the stress of critically ill children.
