Kara fell in love with the Women Airforce Service Pilots (W.A.S.P) after seeing a picture of them while in college. Kara was not only inspired by them but also wanted to share her newfound knowledge of them with the world by making a documentary. 

The WASP were civilian pilots whose members not only became trained pilots but who also tested and ferried aircraft during WWII.
