A brief introduction to what will be a mini-series (still part of the Rulers and Monarchs of the 16th century Mediterranean and Europe Miniseries) which will look at the rules of some of the most important Doges of Venice.   

In this episode I briefly explore Philip II of Spain's influence over the Mediterranean in the second half of the 16th century, as he was arguably one of the most important monarchs of the 16th century.
