In this episode of Wonderfully Witchy, we’re talking about something that doesn’t get said nearly enough in spiritual spaces: your intuition can be wrong. Mine certainly was, and it involved an incredibly attractive nomadic giant, a cancelled date, a spectacular amount of tarot, and one very confused cat.
I unpack the difference between genuine intuition, anxiety, wishful thinking, projection and confirmation bias, and why they can feel almost identical when we’re emotionally invested in the outcome. We’ll also talk about tarot, spiritual discernment, and what happens when we stop reading the cards and start bargaining with them instead.
This episode is for anyone who’s ever been absolutely certain their gut was telling them something, only to discover that hope, fear or attachment had quietly taken the wheel. Being wrong doesn’t mean your intuition is broken. Sometimes it simply teaches you where intuition ends and wanting begins.

In this episode of Wonderfully Witchy, we're taking a closer look at the world of Etsy witches, paid spellcasting and the sometimes questionable business of selling magic online. From beautifully photographed altars and glowing five star reviews to mass produced rituals, AI generated spells and promises that sound a little too good to be true, how do we tell the genuine practitioners from those simply looking to make a quick sale?
I share my own experiences of buying spellwork online, including one genuinely lovely experience with a UK practitioner and another that left me feeling thoroughly deceived. We'll talk about Etsy's policies around metaphysical services, the ethics of AI generated spiritual content, pricing, transparency and why vulnerable customers deserve honesty rather than extravagant promises.
This episode isn't about shaming witches who charge for their work, or those who choose to pay for spiritual services. It's about recognising the difference between a genuine exchange and someone selling you the illusion of certainty. Your magic doesn't disappear when your altar is packed away, and your power was never something you needed to purchase in the first place.

And we're back!
In this episode of Wonderfully Witchy, we’re taking a hard look at the term “baby witch” and why it’s not the harmless nickname some think it is. This one’s a warm but honest deep dive into how language shapes our craft, and why we need to stop dressing up dismissiveness as endearment.
I reflect on my own journey in the 90s – back when finding mentors was nearly impossible and the only witchy content came from secondhand bookshops and questionable movie plotlines. We’ll talk about how far the community has come, and why that’s all the more reason to uplift, not infantilise, those just starting out.
This episode is for anyone who’s ever felt belittled, labelled, or overlooked in their practice. If you’ve been called a “baby witch” and it never sat quite right – this is your validation. Your magic isn’t cute. It’s powerful. And you don’t need a new moon or a decade of experience to own that.
