Our 49th Wonderspace coincides with the start of COP26. For this episode we are heading for the ocean and asking our six questions to the My Changing Planet crew who over the past month have sailed from Cornwall to COP in Glasgow.

On Wonderspace this week we orbit with Tina Wetshi from London.  Tina is Cultural Strategist and Creative Director with a BA in History and Politics and a Masters in Culture, Criticism and Curation from Central Saint Martins. She is a co-founder at Colèchi, a co-learning and research space for independent fashion creatives and is interested in the intersections of fashion and politics with a focus on working-class communities. She has worked in press and PR for a selection of fashion brands. Colechi were nominated by Kate Fletcher and Mathilda Tham who we had on Wonderspace for our 8th episode.

On Wonderspace this week we orbit with Claudia Martinez from Bogota in Columbia.  Claudia is one of the country's pioneer leaders in ecology, economics and ethics.  Most recently Claudia also played a lead role in the United Nations food systems summit in New York.  Her story of hopefulness is an important listen as we seek out regeneration models that restore ecosystems and societies.

This week on Wonderspace we welcome Huda Jawad.  Huda is a campaigner and activist and the Co-Director of Musawah which is a global movement for equality and justice in the Muslim family.  She is one of the self-named three Hijabis who as you will hear led a campaign that led to over one million signatories. Huda was nominated by Sara Hyde who was our 9th guest on Wonderspace.

This week on Wonderspace we welcome Pete Russell.  Pete is the founder of Ooooby (Out Of Our Own Back Yard) which exists to rebuild small-scale food economies. Pete believes that improving the way food is produced and distributed is fundamental to solving the world’s most pressing social and ecological problems. Their mission is to put local small-scale sustainable farming back at the heart of the food system we all depend on. This week on Wonderspace we welcome Abby Rose.  Abby is a farmer snd soil health advocate.  She was named one of the 50 new radicals by the Guardian for her work developing apps that help build ecology, profitability and beauty on farms around the world.  Abby also co-founded the award winning podcast Farmerama radio which has quickly become a leading voice in the global regenerative movement.  Abby was nominated by our 7th guest Cathy Runciman from Atlas of the future.

This week on Wonderspace we welcome Thais Corral. Thais is a social innovator, entrepreneur and ecological activist. She is the founder of Sinal do Vale, a Brazilian regeneration campus located near Rio de Janeiro, which serves as a centre for the regeneration of ecosystems, communities and individuals. Thais was nominated by our tenth guest on Wonderspace Pedro Tarak from Argentina.

Orbiting with us this week on Wonderspace is Douglas Samuel.  

Douglas is the Chief Executive of the Spartans Community Football Academy in Edinburgh and was nominated by our fourth guest Nathan Atkinson at Rethink Food.  

Spartans is a 4 million pound sports centre that uniquely operates its facilities and community coaching programmes as a social enterprise, reinvesting profits back into the business to support positive social impact in one of the most deprived areas in Scotland.

For the first orbit of our new Wonderspace year, we welcome Giles Duley.  Giles is a documentary photographer and writer.  His work focuses on the long-term humanitarian impact of conflict.

In 2011, whilst working in Afghanistan, Giles was severely injured by an IED and as a result of his injuries, he is a triple-amputee.  As you will hear in this episode, he returned to Afghanistan the following year to continue his work as a photographer.  This episode was recorded a few days after his latest trip to Afghanistan, a few days before Kabul fell to the Taliban.

Duley is also CEO and Founder of the NGO Legacy of War Foundation and is a campaigner for the rights of both refugees and those living with disabilities caused by conflict.
