(Watch Online) From the very beginning, the Spirit of God has been turning that which is dark, formless and empty and creating beauty and life...He can do that for you too!
The Spirit is intriguing, confusing, and strange. However, the idea is essential to our discipleship. Where do we start with such a crucial topic? At the beginning of course!
(Watch Online) - This has been an ugly political season. If we truly want our country (or ANY country) to be better, disciples must first focus on being better citizens of the Kingdom.
Jesus took his final words to declare that he had all authority and then to ask his disciples to do something completely unexpected.
Humans, especially those of us who are American humans, have a tricky relationship with the concept of "authority". It doesn't have a comfortable place to fit in our theology. So what do we do when Jesus claims to "all authority"? What can and should that mean for our discipleship?
The Spirit is no myth, but He is a mystery. How should we expect the Spirit to lead the church today?
Everyone wants to be part of an awesome church. So, what makes a church great?
Most Christians hear the word "worship" and think "Sunday morning singing". But why does God need to sing nice things about him anyway? Is He really so insecure? If we dig in a little we learn that worship is SO much more than singing and it's not for God's benefit at all. In fact, worship is the only logical response to recognizing the character of God.
We have this myth in America that we can do it alone, that we don't need anyone else. Well, a quick examination of just about anything in life proves that myth false. When that bad idea makes its way into the church it can wreak havoc. God is glorified when we work hard to glorify God with "one mind and one voice".
