The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus to believers to be our Helper. The Spirit helps us in many ways. In this message we explore some of those ways by unpacking John 16:5-15. The Spirit convicts the world and guides believers to the truth. (John 16:5-15)

Perhaps the most important words from Jesus on how Christians can live a powerful and fruitful life. It is not so much about skill or knowledge or giftedness or determination. It is about the priority of abiding. (John 15:1-11)

Jesus says that he is the only way to the Father, which is opposes the Pluralism and Inclusivism of our culture. The question, however, is not "Is this offensive?" or "Is this intolerant?" but "Is this true?" (John 14:1-7)

In John 13, Jesus commands His disciples to serve others like He served them. And then He commanded them to love others like He loved them. Both are connected to the other. We say we love God but we prove it by serving others. (John 13:1-17; 34, 35)

One of the greatest ways we can glorify God is when we worship him. In John 4, Jesus gives a Samaritan woman and us some clear guidelines for true worship that God deserves and desires from us. (John 4:23,24)

God created us for relationship. Relationship with Himself and relationships with others. When we live in Christ-Centered unity with other Christians we are able to become all that God wants us to be. (John 17:11,20-23; 1 Thess 5:11; Gal 6:2; Matt 18:19-20;)

One of the ways God has revealed Himself to us is through the Scripture. God wants us to know Him and wants to speak to us. All we have to do is listen. We hear Him when we read, study and meditate on His Word. (1 Peter 2:2)

II Cor 5: 17-21 (Messengers of reconciliation glorify God, they know the message well, they deliver it to people from a heart of mercy, and in so doing they are fulfilled.)

We glorify God by becoming fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ, but WHY is that important, WHAT does it look like, and HOW does it happen? (Matt. 16:24-26, Matt. 28:18-20, Rom. 8:28-29, Matt. 22:36-40, 1 John 4:19-21, Gal. 5:22-23, Phil. 3:12-14, Phil. 2:12-13, Phil. 1:6, 1 Thess. 5:23-24)

Since God's highest purpose is to glorify Himself, our highest purpose should be no less than to glorify God. To glorify God we need to intentionally declare his glory and consciously reflect it in the way we live.
