Biblical Discipline & The Rod is a direct, Scripture‑anchored class that teaches parents how to confront willful defiance with clarity, authority, and consistency. It explains why discipline is an act of love, how the rod functions as a God‑given tool of rescue, and how to distinguish childishness from true rebellion. Parents learn a practical, repeatable process for administering discipline calmly and restoring relationship afterward. The class emphasizes shaping a child’s will so they learn to submit to parental authority and ultimately to God. We conclude with a brief look at training children to sit still, listen, and control their bodies as a foundational discipline for life and worship.

In the seventh session of this class, we will examine the grand truth of our union with Christ, including biblical images to describe it and applications.

This class explores how biblical obedience transforms the home from a chaotic battleground into a place of peace. Together we’ll learn how consistent, grace‑filled expectations shape our children’s hearts, how to navigate parenting around extended family and other parents, and how proactive preparation helps kids thrive socially and spiritually. This is practical, gospel‑centered parenting for families.

In our sixth session we examine the promise of sanctification, both immediately and progressively. This class also includes an extended look at God's promises concerning our suffering.

In this session, we'll discuss the importance of chores as it pertains to our children’s development and look at some helpful tips to get things started to help foster and cultivate a healthy and God-glorifying view of work in the home. We'll also look to the book of Proverbs for some helpful wisdom and insight as it pertains to parenting and discuss the spiritual training of our children. This will include highlighting the components to Family Worship and unpacking the joys and blessings that come from each: Praying, Reading & Singing together.

Our fifth session is on the promise of redemption. Drawing from the Old and New Testament, we examine the elements present in God's historical deliverance of His people, and the culminatinating redemption of Christ's work. We finish with some specific principles of application.

In this session we’ll examine the everyday patterns that shape our children: consistency, unified parenting, honest modeling, and helping kids move from self‑centeredness to Christ‑centeredness. We’ll discuss common pitfalls, heart‑level issues, and simple practices that build trust and stability in the home. This class is designed to encourage and equip parents to reflect God’s character as they shepherd their children.

We'll look at our rightful authority as parents and the battleground of authority in all our hearts. We don't have a character problem; we have a worship problem that produces a character problem. Benefits of teaching our kids God's and how present grace should give us spiritual rest from our challenges and anxieties"

Our third session is on the doctrine of reconciliation. We look at what reconciliation with God is, how he accomplished it, and how meditating on the promises of reconciliation can benefit us today.
