Woodside Bible Church Farmington Hills

In this message, Pastor Jacob Ley closes the In Christ series by exploring what it means to be captivated by God’s beauty. From creation to the cross, Scripture reveals that beauty is not merely aesthetic—it’s theological. Beauty flows from the very nature of God, draws our hearts toward Him, and calls us to reflect His glory through how we live, work, and create. Discover how being “in Christ” reshapes our understanding of beauty—how we enjoy it, create it, and ultimately see it revealed in Jesus Himself.

What does it mean to value goodness as the people of God? In this message from Psalm 34, Pastor Joel Tomkinson invites us to “taste and see that the Lord is good.” Drawing from David’s song of deliverance, we discover that God’s goodness is not just an abstract idea—it’s a reality we can receive, trust, and seek through Christ. When we taste His goodness, we learn to trust in His character and reflect that same goodness in our lives. Join us as we explore how disciples of Jesus are transformed by God’s goodness and sent to shine it into the world.

What is truth? It’s a question that echoes from Pilate’s courtroom to our modern, post-truth culture. In this week’s message, Anchored in Truth, Pastor Jacob Ley explores how, in Christ, truth is not just an idea to believe—but a reality to live. From John 1 and 14, we see that truth is both propositional and relational—it corresponds to reality and is embodied in the person of Jesus Himself. As God’s people, we are called to love, abide in, and proclaim God’s truth in every part of life—our worship, our community, and our mission. Discover how being “in Christ” anchors us in the truth God has revealed, and how that truth sets us free to live as His witnesses in the world.

In this message of the In Christ series, Pastor Jacob unpacks Jesus’ Great Commission and shows how mission flows naturally from our identity in Christ. We don’t live on mission to earn His approval — we live on mission because we already belong to Him. From His authority, we pursue His purpose, and we carry His presence wherever we go. Discover what it means to live as a disciple who makes disciples, empowered by the One who promises to be with us “to the end of the age.”

In this episode, Made for Community, Pastor Jacob explores Acts 4:32–37 and the powerful vision of gospel-centered community. From the unity of “one heart and soul” to the radical generosity of open hands, this message shows how our identity in Christ transforms the way we live with one another. With real-life examples and biblical insight, you’ll discover how grace builds, consumerism destroys, and why strengthening each other is central to God’s design for His people. Whether you’ve longed for deeper connection or wrestled with individualism, this conversation will help you see that in Christ, community is not optional—it’s who we are.

In this episode of In Christ, we explore what it truly means to be made for worship. Everyone worships something—but only worship of the living God leads to life, joy, and transformation. Drawing from Romans 12, Hebrews 13, and Revelation 7, Pastor Jacob unpacks how worship flows out of our identity in Christ, shapes every part of daily life, and prepares us for eternity. Whether through our work, relationships, or gathered praise, all of life becomes an offering to God.

In this episode, we launch the In Christ series with a message from 1 Peter 2:9–10 titled Remade in Christ. Together we wrestle with life’s most essential questions: Who are you? Why are you here? Where are you going? Scripture reminds us that in Christ we find our true identity and mission. We don’t belong to our affiliations or accomplishments, but to God Himself—chosen, redeemed, and sent to proclaim His glory. Join us as we rediscover who we are, why we exist, and what God has done for us through the gospel.

In this final message of the Dwell series, Pastor Joel unpacks Psalm 91:9–16 and the promise of a non-anxious life when we dwell in the Lord. Drawing on powerful stories—from Corrie Ten Boom in a concentration camp to personal illustrations of God’s closeness—this sermon explores three heart realities that come from abiding in God: Confidence in His protection, Closeness in His knowledge of us, and Comfort in His love. Listen and be encouraged to live each day free from fear, secure in Christ, and strengthened by the promises of God’s Word

Where can we find real safety in a world full of threats? Psalm 91 shows us that those who dwell in the Lord rest under His protection. In this sermon, discover how God secures us with His presence, shields us with His faithfulness, and saves us with His justice.

In this message from our Dwell series, Rev. Brandon Cleaver explores Psalm 90:13–17 and the reality that dwelling in the Lord makes life truly meaningful. We all long for the best place to be — whether in success, comfort, or joy — yet nothing satisfies like God’s presence. Discover how the Lord provides relief in our struggles, joy in our days, and meaning in our labors. This episode invites you to trade the pressures of life for the lasting satisfaction that only God can give, and to experience the peace of dwelling daily in His steadfast love.
