Hour 1 - A portion of the $6 billion-dollar funding plan for the state’s K-12 schools was vetoed on Thursday, setting up a likely legal battle between the Governor and members of the State Legislature. 

Hour 3 - Local and national news and sports on Steve and Ted.  Then today's KNSS Salute to Service, where we highlight the events leading up to the Memorial Day celebration at The National Veteran's Memorial and Museum.

Wichita Art Museum's Teresa Veazey will be leaving for a job at City Hall.  Teresa will become the Community Services Director for Districts 2 and 5.  Teresa is a friend of the show and joins Steve and Ted to talk a little about her career at WAM and the Ulrich Art Museum at WSU, and the new position with the City of Wichita.

Hour 2 - Lots of damage done by a massive drought, and the Wheat Tour does not have a particularly rosy outlook for Kansas Wheat this year.  Local and national news on Steve and Ted plus a look at the KSN Storm Track 3 Forecast with Kansas Today Meteorologist Ronelle Williams.

Hour 1 - Mark Gietzen was flying a single-engine Cessna 172 Skyhawk when it crashed in a field near O'Neill, Nebraska, about 190 miles northwest of Omaha.  Gietzen was the only person on board and the log said the plane crashed “in unknown circumstances.”
