Following Jesus isn’t about having all the answers or controlling how people respond; it’s about living faithfully and showing God’s love in everyday life.

What does it mean to be welcomed home, even when we’ve made mistakes? In this message, we explore one of Jesus’ best-known stories, the Parable of the Prodigal Son, and discover a powerful picture of God’s love for us.

The younger son makes a heartbreaking choice, demands his inheritance early and wastes everything. When he finally returns home, expecting little more than to become a servant, his father does something extraordinary: he runs to meet him, embraces him and welcomes him back with open arms.

Through this story, we’re reminded that God doesn’t wait for us to get our lives perfectly sorted before he welcomes us. He meets us in the mess, even when that mess comes from our own choices. The message also points us to Jesus, who gave his life so that we could be forgiven, restored and brought into a relationship with God.

What does it take for us to turn back to God? And why do warnings sometimes fail to change our hearts?

In this message, Stuart takes us through Revelation 8–9, exploring some of the Bible’s most challenging and vivid imagery. The seven trumpets reveal a picture of God’s judgement on evil and injustice, reminding us that God is in control and that our choices have real consequences. Yet even in these difficult passages, we see something important: God is patient, leaving room for people to turn back to him.

Stuart explores how the warnings in Revelation echo the plagues of Egypt and how they challenge us to think about the state of our own hearts. Fear might get our attention, but it cannot transform us on its own. As Romans 2:4 reminds us, it is God’s kindness that leads us to repentance.

At the heart of this message is the hope we find in Jesus. Through his death on the cross, we are offered forgiveness and rescue from judgement. We are also reminded that our prayers matter, and that we can bring the injustice and suffering we see in the world before God.

Welcome to Woody! In Revelation 7, we’re given a powerful picture of what it means to belong to God. Following the question at the end of Revelation 6 — “Who can stand?” — we see that it isn’t the strongest, richest or most powerful who stand, but those who belong to the Lamb.

Josh explores what it means to find our identity in Christ rather than in our circumstances, achievements, failures or what other people think of us. Revelation also gives us a beautiful picture of a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people and language, reminding us that God’s kingdom is bigger than any one culture or background.

But this chapter is also deeply comforting. Following Jesus doesn’t mean we will never suffer, but it does mean we never suffer alone. The Lamb who was slain becomes our Shepherd, leading us to living water, caring for us and ultimately wiping away every tear.

In Revelation 6, John is shown a powerful and unsettling vision: the Lamb, Jesus, opens the seals of a heavenly scroll, revealing the Four Horsemen, suffering, war, famine, death and persecution.

But this chapter is not simply a frightening picture of the end of the world. Revelation means “to reveal”, and throughout this passage we are reminded that even in the darkest moments, God remains in control. The Four Horsemen do not have the final word. Jesus does.

Martin explores what these images might mean for us today, from the reality of conflict and inequality to the suffering of Christians around the world. He also asks how we can respond: by trusting God, caring for those who are vulnerable, standing firm in our faith and becoming people who bring hope and light into dark places.

Revelation 6, Matthew 24, Psalm 23, Proverbs 9:10 and 1 Peter 3:18–19 are explored as we consider what it means to trust Jesus when life feels uncertain.

What does God see when he looks at us? This message explores the picture of God as a shepherd who sees the individual, searches for those who feel lost, and rejoices when they are found.

Using the picture of the lost sheep, we are reminded that we are not overlooked or forgotten. God sees us, knows us and cares for us. He doesn't simply wait for us to find our way back to him — he actively seeks us.

The message also points us to Jesus, who came to save humanity and bring us back to God. Through the cross and resurrection, Jesus breaks down the barrier between us and God and offers new life. The challenge for us is not only to receive that good news, but to share it with others. When someone turns to Jesus, there is joy — in our lives and in heaven.

What do we do when the future feels uncertain and we don't know what tomorrow holds? Revelation 5 gives us a powerful answer: we may not know what tomorrow holds, but we can know who holds tomorrow.

John sees a scroll in God's hand, sealed and waiting to be opened, but no one is found worthy. Then he hears about a conquering Lion — only to turn and see a Lamb who has been slain. This striking picture points us to Jesus: the victorious King who conquered through sacrifice, the one whose scars tell the story of his love and redemption.

Revelation 5 reminds us that Jesus is worthy because he has conquered death, redeemed his people and holds the future. Rather than being consumed by everything we don't understand, we are invited to refocus our eyes on Christ.

What do we do when life feels chaotic and the future is uncertain? Revelation 4 gives John a different perspective.

Instead of first showing him the troubles happening on earth, God opens a door into heaven and invites him to look up. What John sees is a throne, with God seated upon it.

Revelation 4 reminds us that although the world may shake, God's throne has not moved. He is still holy, sovereign and worthy of worship. The chapter points us towards God's authority, his faithfulness and his mercy, while reminding us that our circumstances don't always tell the whole story.

The message then leads us towards Revelation 5, where John sees Jesus as both the Lion and the Lamb — the powerful King who gave himself for us. Our hope isn't simply that God is powerful, but that the God who reigns is also a God who loves us.

So, when you're worried about your family, your future, your work or simply trying to understand what God is doing, perhaps the invitation is to look up and remember who is on the throne.

As we pause and look back over the first three chapters of Revelation, we’re reminded that these chapters are not simply mysterious predictions about the future. They are pastoral words from Jesus to real churches facing real pressures — and they still speak to us today.

Through the seven churches of Revelation 1–3, we see different challenges: losing our first love, facing suffering, compromising under cultural pressure, confusing love with tolerance, relying on reputation, feeling small or weak, and becoming self-sufficient.

But there is also a consistent message of hope. Jesus knows his church. He sees our struggles, our faithfulness, our weaknesses and our successes. And his call is to remember, repent, wake up, hold fast and remain faithful.

At the heart of this message is a simple question: **Which church are we becoming?** Rather than simply asking how we appear to others, are we spiritually alive? Are we still centred on Christ?

As Woody looks ahead, this is an invitation for us to keep our eyes on Jesus, remain faithful and trust him with what he has placed before us.

In this message from our Revelation series, Martin takes us through Jesus’ letter to the church in Laodicea (Revelation 3:14–22) — one of the most challenging passages in the seven letters to the churches.

Laodicea was a wealthy and comfortable city, but Jesus warned that the church had become spiritually lukewarm. They had become so comfortable with the culture around them that they had lost sight of their purpose, their need for Jesus and the difference they were called to make.

This passage invites us to ask some honest questions: Where do we find our truth? Have we become too comfortable? Are our values shaped more by Jesus or by the world around us? And, most importantly, are we willing to listen and respond when Jesus challenges us?

Yet this is not simply a message of warning. Jesus still loves His church. His invitation to repent, listen and open the door reminds us that there is always hope. He calls us back into a deeper relationship with Him and promises an incredible future to those who overcome.
