Sometimes it's easy to want to go our own way, particularly when the person commanding us might not be trustworthy, but in the case of Jesus we can have confidence that His commands are always for our best.

Josh reminds us that we have all fallen short of the Lord's standards, but as believers we have an advocate - Jesus - who vouches for us and saves us from the penalty of sin. Knowing that is not enough, however, for us to live fulfilled Christian lives for His glory. We must continue to turn away from sin in every aspect of our lives.
