John 15:13-14, 17 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. . . .These things I command you, that ye love one another."

God knew who you were, where you were, what you had done, what they did to you; yet . . .

Romans 5: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

I thought we were going to end "The Function of Love" but it seems we are to continue specifically dealing with serving others in love. "1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but indeed and in truth."

We've talked about for 7 weeks now and we will end it tonight. We've covered God's love for us, the love of His Son toward us, our love for God and Jesus, loving our brethren, and loving our enemies. Not embracing evil but loving the person our enemy uses to launch evil toward us. Tonight we try to give you a picture of "The Function of Love" at work in real life. What happens when we obediently, lovingly release the love of God into the earth.

"1 John 4:17 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. vs 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"

May our daily activity be within this purpose we are designed for - Love. Lives will be God affected when we do. Changed.
