We discussed the nature of mankind beginning with Ps 8. This led to a discussion of some translation principles that highlight the value of the NET as a translation.  We also discussed Ps 82 emphasizing this passage as foundational to a mature Christian worldview.  We discussed the OT terminology describing the inner life of man.

We explored the creation of man through biblical anthropology by way of theological discussion.  We are not created “in” the image of God.  We are the image of God.  

We trace the Old Testament theology of Adam, the clan, the tribe, and then the nation in order to gain more biblical insights into where we are as a culture today in the West.

Reading from Eugene Merrill’s, Everlasting Dominion, to ground ourselves further in Biblical theology concerning politics.  It is a fundamental building block of thought concerning politics that one has a clear and solid comprehension of exactly what a human being is.

As believers how do we fit into the culture? What are our political responsibilities? Words of encouragement as we live in a declining society. That key element of Christian identity realization that we are sojourners and exiles (1 Pet 2:11).

Role of wisdom in accessing the Natural Law. What is wisdom? We read Job 28 and observed that the wisdom of man, primarily summarized in technology is the product of human hands.  Yet, God’s kingdom is specifically not the creation of human hands (Dan 2:35, 45).  Evaluating political policies according to biblical principles.
