3. Magbigay ng papuri sa Diyos. Psalm 50:23
4. Maging kuntento. Philippians 4:12
Names are very important. It gives us identity and separates us from the hundreds of millions of humans. Filipinos even have nicknames! Some even go beyond it and still have terms of endearment. Those names hold a special meaning to the caller and the name bearer.
When God established the nation of Israel, He knew these people needed more than the rules and regulations. They need more than the angels. God needed to establish a relationship with the Israelites. He gave His Name to them. This was a very meaningful event for the Israelites because God first initiated the relationship. “I am the Lord your God…” It was a personal introduction. He didn’t ask Moses or anybody to introduce Him. He knows the Israelites will need so many things from Him. They will need a Protector, a Guide, Provider..and the list goes on. God also knows they will need a firm hand to correct them. “I am” He is everything the world needs.
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.” Exodus 20:2 ESV
