In our last broadcast, we spoke about the experience of Jesus putting the disciples in a boat and causing them to cross the sea to Bethsaida. Then the storm came up, Jesus walked on the water and got in the boat with them and it says that the landed at Gennesaret. Gennesaret translates to the place of the blessing. We're going to talk about scriptural examples of obedience and the blessing that comes from obeying the word of God, our proof text for today is Mark chapter 6, we read the story of Jesus and his Apostles beginning with verse 30, it says and the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus and told him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught Andy. I said unto them. Come you yourselves apart into a desert place. And rest awhile for there were many coming and going. And they had no leisure so much as to eat, and they departed into a desert, place by ship privately. And the people saw them departing in, many knew him and ran a foot there out of all the cities and out, went them and came together unto him.
