In this Episode Navaz DCruz shares on Pentecost from Acts 2 as a part of the series the Book Of Acts.

We know that Jesus had instructed the disciples: Acts 1:4-5“Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

So they knew something was about to happen. Something supernatural.  There were 120 gathered in this room. Scholars estimate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit occurred 10 after Jesus’ accession. How do we know this? Jesus walked on the earth for 40 days after his resurrection. Pentecost, the Jewish festival is celebrated 50 days after Passover. Jesus was crucified just before Passover.

In this episode, Colin DCruz takes us through what happened in the book of Acts and the promised outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Even though Jesus is the Lamb of God is incredibly important because he died for our sins, it is only mentioned once in the gospels but Jesus baptizing us with the Holy Spirit is mentioned so many more times. It’s clear by this alone that being baptized in the Holy Spirit is an important part of our spiritual journey with Christ.
