From Obedience to Fruitfulness

From union with Jesus to fruitfulness in life

Jesus offers his disciples the gift of peace and we too can receive that same gift of peace to help us understand the teachings of God and also help us have right relationship with God and others in the troubles and worries of life.

Jesus promises the coming of the Holy Spirit. He will continue the work of Jesus' ministry.

Jesus alone can truly satisfy the heart's deepest desires. What are your desires? Do you feel deeply satisfied with your state in life? Do you think you can get more out of this life? Look to Jesus today and let him hold you by the hand.

Today's Gospel Jesus reveals to the disciples yet again HOW he is the Way the unique manner by which we all must live out lives against every obstacle or hindrance or limitation and get to our life's destination, God. Is Jesus your way to eternal life?

Jesus declares to Thomas, the disciples and to you that He is the Way, by which we get to our destination of this life.

At the Last Supper, Jesus washed his disciples' feet and commanded them to serve others like he did to them, welcoming them in his name. Do you welcome others based on certain criteria? Why? Would you welcome Christ in others?

Today's gospel presents us with the apparent blindness of Philip and the declaration of Jesus to him of his true identity with the Father. St. Paul gives us a clue to that for which we should long for in order for us, to have a true identity of Christ in our journey of life.

St. Athanasius defended the truth that Jesus is truly God amd truly man. The defense of which he was persecuted. As a Christian, are you persecuted for standing up for the Truth, Christ Jesus? Chin up and draw strength from St. Athanasius.
