This episode is the final one in our mini series: Word of the Year. Emily has been sitting down with each board member to discuss their 2025 word of the year. But this time, Aviela will be talking with Emily about her word.
Emily is ready to share her word, Connect, with us as she reflects on what the Lord has done in 2025. It was a hard year, but Emily remains firm in the fact that the Lord worked His miracles and made beauty from ashes in so many ways. Tune in for a vulnerable and powerful episode!
Key Points:
Our ultimate need is to seek connection with God first. We have to abide in Him.
We need to learn how to connect with ourselves. The Lord intended for us to care for our bodies, minds, and spirits.
Connection is a call to action. We have to be persistent in seeing how the Lord is calling us to connect with Him in every situation.
It’s not meant to be easy but we have to fight to be where the Lord is calling us. We have to fight for connection- in marriage, friendships, family etc.
Find God in everything you do, even if that means just sitting in His presence.
We must remove the idols in our life and choose to seek God first.
Connection invites us into a place of dwelling. We begin to become who God has called us to be when we let Him dwell in us as we sit at His feet.
Bible Verses:
John 15
Hebrews 10:24-25
