Word on the Street: A Baltimore Sports Short Podcast

On this week's episode, Paul is excited to be joined by longtime O's beat writer Roch Kubatko. Roch talks about covering the two losingest seasons in franchise history, players that need to be moved to the 40-man roster, Jonathan Villar's future, Austin Hays, and the 2020 first overall pick.

In this episode, Paul is once again joined by ESR's Matt Pyne. Paul & Matt discuss Chris Davis's future (or lack thereof) in Baltimore, September call-ups, the decision to not call up Ryan Mountcastle, and plenty more.

Many fans believe that Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt and players with character red flags represent a significant portion of NFL players. That's not true AT ALL. In fact, it's safe to say that the good guys in the NFL, as a percentage, surpass the percentage of the general population.

In this episode of The Payoff Pitch, we are once again joined by Eric Arditti of Barstool Sports. We talk about the current state of the rebuild, Hunter Harvey shutting down the Gnats late in a game, next year's draft, Anthony Santander's promise, and more.

RSR once broke a story about Dean Pees' retirement. Another local sports outlet, largely forgotten, wasn't impressed.

Russell Street Report writers were regulars on 105.7 The Fan...until an April Fools Joke ruffled the feathers of CBS Radio management. Tough to believe, right? Here's the rest of the story.

The Andrew Luck retirement announcement was a shocker. It’s a huge blow to the Indianapolis Colts and the NFL. No one wants to see that kind of talent leave the game. But it happened and it saddens all who love the NFL. Unless you're a Colts fan...they were ticked off!

Up until his stellar performance against the Eagles, Trace McSorley has been rather inconsistent during Ravens training camp and the preseason. His outing in Philadelphia strengthened his case to make Baltimore's Final 53 Man Roster. But was is enough?

The Ravens and PA Announcer Bruce Cunningham appear to have amicably parted ways. But was it really as simple as Cunningham deciding he no longer had the passion for the job or was it more? We dare to speculate.

On this episode of The Payoff Pitch, Paul is joined by Eutaw Street Report Senior Editor Derek Arnold. The guys talk about the "mercy rule," relegation, and other silly ideas, as well as where some O's prospects will start 2020, and plenty more.
