  • Camp Notes Day 1: July 27, 2022

Day 1 of Training Camp 2022 is in the books for the Ravens and perhaps the best takeaway from today's session is that no one was injured. Other than that, it was a slow-paced practice that looked like a very methodical ramp up for the long-run. In other words, it was very uneventful. However, there were a few highlights and lowlights as RSR's Tony Lombardi discribes in detail.

    • The Potential Terror of Pick 14 in the 2022 NFL Draft

The Baltimore Ravens may face a conundrum if coveted edge rushers and corners come off the board before their scheduled pick at No. 14 in the 2022 NFL Draft. If that happens, look for a trade back and the teams that come calling could include the Chiefs, Packers or even the Cowboys. Here's why...

      • Making Sense of Cash Over Cap

The hosts of Inside Access on 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore have been highly critical of the Ravens and their free agent spending, or lack thereof, at least in the minds of the body wash or bar soap co-hosts. This edition of Word on The Street helps to clarify the concept of cash over cap and put and end to the erroneous accusations from said hosts, that team owner Steve Bisciotti is cheap. He's not.

          • Time For The Ravens to Stop Clowney Around

The Ravens once tried to trade for Jadeveon Clowney and the NFL denied the effort. Now that he's a free agent and the Ravens still have a need, isn't it time to make a new and cleaner attempt to sign the edge defender?

            • They're Still The Bumbling Browns

Jimmy Haslam and the Cleveland Browns paid a great price for a good quarterback who will never live up to the money and the draft capital it cost to get him. And the price for Watson, given the 22 civil suits, just keeps climbing higher.

              • Browns Doing Browns Things

The Browns gave up a ton to make a change at starting quarterback. They might have to give up even more, given the Baker Mayfield situation, all for a quarterback with a slightly better than .500 record.

                • Lamar Opts to "Put Up, Shut Up"

Lamar Jackson is in no hurry to sign a new deal. So the Ravens should follow suit, particularly when you consider that now, contract talks will START at $230M guaranteed, thanks to the Cleveland Browns.

                  • Patience and Complacency Should Not be Confused

The Ravens love to stockpile draft picks and they are masters at playing the compensatory pick game. Perhaps it's time to at least temporarily alter those strategies.
