Word Play with Jamilah Renae

In this special episode of Word Play with Jamilah Renae, I invite you into the most unexpected of sacred spaces—my truck.

Yes, you might hear the quiet hum of life outside my window and the echo of my truth bouncing off the windshield. The rawness of me finally saying what needed to be said. That’s because healing doesn’t always wait for the perfect studio. Sometimes, it shows up in the parking lot of your past—with nothing but a steering wheel, a notebook, and your whole heart.

Dashboard Diaries is a spoken word set I recorded from the front seat of my Ford Expedition. Every word is written in rearview honesty. I didn’t need a mic—I needed a moment. And this is it.
