God is trustworthy. Psalm 118:8 tells us “ It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.” It warns us not to put our trust in people, because they will certainly fail us at some point. He’s not saying not to trust other people. / God made us relational, to live well in relationship with others./ But if you’re looking at other people or material things to give you the meaning, /joy and security that only God can give, /you’re in trouble. / You’re standing on shaky ground /worse than any earthquake can bring you.
Here’s something we must be so careful about. /When we start putting our trust on anything, or anyone, /ourselves included, instead of on God alone, /trouble happens. My friend, let’s put our sole affection on Jesus. Trust Him for the things that only He can give. Love, Liberty #worditoutgirl #trustworthy #misplaced affection #2Minutes2Grace
