We used our words to talk about using our words. Each of the Daves have 'stepped in it' with words before. It's fair to say we've even made our living for years largely because of the way we handle words. Maybe the best way to be sure we understand what someone means by the words they choose to use is to ask them. And if – check that… when – we word-torque an innocent, we agreed that Bill Crawford's response is hard to beat. So, in anticipation of an offense that's sure to come (perhaps even in this podcast), we draw from Bill's example and preemptively offer this: "Will you forgive us?"
