Many modern day prophets and Bible scholars are predicting disaster beginning in September of this year. My wife never seems to worry when I go offshore no matter how far I go or how stormy it might be. The only thing she harasses me about is not focusing on watching where I’m going. I have enough electronics on the boat that it is like monitoring a Boeing 747 so I do have to look at the instruments quite often. My wife took me to task over some comments made to a friend whose wife is suffering from cancer. My friend told me he was angry at God. It is rare for me to be in a bad mood, but the last couple of days I’ve been like an old angry bear – It has been hard to be around me. My lower back hurts, my hearing is all but gone, but worst of all is losing my eyesight. I’ve resumed wearing my hearing aids which helps to prevent me from being stone deaf but nothing can be done about my fading eyesight and macular degeneration. Good morning – Early update my back appears to be better after the spinal injection yesterday and the same holds true with the bone graft and gum surgery I had day before yesterday. Going fishing today. The spine shots usually don’t work for 2-3 days but it is feeling a little better already today so I’m optimistic and will be going offshore shortly. The seas are not real calm this morning; I hope the bouncing and jarring around doesn’t hurt me more.
