This Prayer is for the soul that’s trying to catch its breath and its balance. It speaks to the person gathering scattered pieces — at home, in their heart, and in their personal life — trusting that God’s grace meets them right where they are. This grace reminds us that restoration doesn’t rush, that God gently helps us reset, realign, and prepare for what’s ahead, wrapping our ordinary moments in quiet mercy and renewed-ness in all of the spaces.

This prayer is inspired by the song “Still I Rise” by Yolanda Adam’s. It speaks to the shattered places, the wounded moments, and the heavy seasons we have experienced. Yet it reminds us that God stands with us in every one of them. This is a prayer for survivors, over-comers, and anyone who needs to remember with God’s help … you can still rise.

This prayer is a joyful awakening to gratitude inspired by Frankie Beverly & Maze’s classic song. It reminds us that behind every blessing — every smile, every open door, every moment of strength — is a God who quietly carries us with love and care. As we pause to truly notice God’s goodness, our hearts rise in one simple declaration: “God, I wanna thank You … for all the things You do.”

THE STORY BEHIND THE PODCAST:
The vision for “Words For The Soul, Food For The Heart” was born during the Covid-19 pandemic — during a season when the world slowed down, church doors closed, and many people found themselves searching for hope, comfort, strength, and connection. As a pastor, I was determined to stay connected to the congregation and community I served. Week after week, I searched for creative ways to encourage people during uncertain and emotionally heavy times.
What began with simple cellphone video messages and Facebook Live moments eventually grew into something much larger — a calling to speak life, hope, healing, encouragement, and strength not only to a local congregation, but to listeners everywhere.
Today, this podcast reaches people across cities, states, and countries with one consistent mission:
To help people feed their soul before they face their day.
Thank you for allowing this podcast to be part of your life journey. My prayer is that every episode leaves you stronger, wiser, more hopeful, and reminded that God is still present in your story.
with Love,
Jackie W.
