As a kid, growing up in the church in the 1960's, we didn't have all the audio/visual tools we have today. But I had a wonderful teacher who utilized simple characters on a bulletin board to teach me about the greatest friend I'll ever have! 

When confronted with those moments of decision that tell you to take a pass and do what is comfortable and safe, the word determination says, "No, stand firm in your character and integrity."

Jesus reminded His followers that true humility has its origins inside you; it’s a matter of the heart. What’s inside, good or bad, will always rise to the surface in what you say and, more vividly, in your actions.

Have you ever wanted to transform a demanding situation into something easier to cope with? There is a way. And the remedy is today's "Word from the Vault." And that word is "Priorities."

As you reflect on kindness, what was the most memorable word of encouragement you ever received? Remember how it changed your outlook and attitude? Let me encourage you to do the same for others as you go about your day.

When the Bible speaks of "doors" it represents choices we must make. When we choose to open the doors of hope and love, it can make an incredible difference for good.
