I was just thinking about how much I like one of my new clients. It made me reflect on my college boyfriend, who I really loved. He was my first real boyfriend, and I was young. Why did I love him so much? Because he loved me so much. We shared common interests—basketball, movies, tacos—and his affection for me made me like him even more. Recently, I've been pondering how, in the hustle and bustle of daily life and with so much online interaction, many of the subtle "I like you" signals we usually send through body language are missing. So, I've made a bigger effort to show people that I like them.
