This week the Words With Oz Podcast is thrilled to host Director, Co-Founder and Senior Port Folio Manager of Orphir Asset Management, Mr Andrew Mitchell.

Andrew is one of our first listener requested podcasts. Known for his outstanding results in the world of finance through Sydney and Australia; the story of Andrew and Ophir is one we are ecstatic to bring you.

A regular on the rich lists and a results that speak for themselves, I asked Andrew on the show to provide his perspective on what attitudes, practices and beliefs it takes to succeed in the highly competitive world of financial markets and asset management. His answers never disappoint.

In people and in companies, the importance of integrity cannot be overstated, even more so for those who manage others' funds. How do you distinguish your nonnegotiable values or principles, from your foundation pillars that may susceptible to adaptation necessary for growth?

Surprisingly, or unsurprisingly if you are a regular Words With Oz Podcast listener, it was not our discussion on his specific work that indicate a lot of Andrew' success, it's the lessons he learned at this favourite football club, his inherently competitive nature and his strict adherence to authenticity.
