Words—our lives are filled with them. At different points, we have heard words that encourage and words that hurt us deeply. Words can be used in all sorts of ways. With that in mind, think of the opening of John’s Gospel. John introduces Jesus to us as “the Word.” Why would he use that term? What does it say about Jesus? Furthermore, what does it say about us? We will answer those questions on Sunday as we continue our study of the Gospel of John.
