Okay, so the word “Network” sounds really nerdy and boring, to say the least, but I cannot stress enough how IMPORTANT it is, or how crucial it has been for both my business and my Homefront thus far. When I say Network, I am referring to the people who have genuine relationships with and who you work with on a regular basis to make things work for you, your business and your family. I mean, who are your peeps!? The peeps that can make or break your business and your life.

As you look around you, who is it that you are surrounded by that is not just challenging you to be better, but also who makes you feel fully supported as you are in your business and Home? Who makes you laugh, who thinks of you when someone they know could use your help, who calls you out when you don’t meet your goals, who keeps you motivated to continue on when you don’t feel like it, who lends a hand when you need it, who pours energy into your relationship/friendship and who do you do the same for in return — without expectations?

I think this is so underrated!!

We hear all the time that we should block out negativity or not surround ourselves with people who aren’t great for us. We also hear that we are a combination of the top 5 people with who we surround ourselves. However, I know many people, especially now, that don’t really care to connect or meet new people in general. I think especially with this pandemic, people are liking people a lot less, and tend to retreat to themselves. Although sometimes I don’t blame them, I think this doesn’t do much for us either! Especially if you are trying to scale your business, your homes and your life in general.

For me, I mentioned in an earlier episode that my relationships ARE my number one priority and it is where I should be spending the most of my time. Relationships in work and home are very much intertwined because I am in the service industry. I provide a service to people, which means I am in the business of people. So anyone at any time can be a potential client if they see value in my work. Also, I want to be able to bring value to anyone who wants it or is looking for it. For me, I do not live separate work life/ home life, they are intertwined or integrated. Many of my friends often become clients, and many of my clients, mentors and peers often turn to lifelong friends.

In this episode, I go over what I mean by “Build the Business” or “Buy the Business” and how I assess and decide which option to take in order to scale in both my business and my homefront. So, let’s first dive into what exactly I mean by Building the business or buying it. Everything in life has a cost. I am sure you have all heard of that phrase, “Time is Money”. Well, although I don’t agree that time IS money, exactly – I do believe that time can be exchanged for money. Like I just said, everything has a cost —  and how you pay for it, is usually with your time, or your money!
