This Christmas, an Albuquerque medical assistant is giving the gift of life to one of her own patients. Genevieve Maldonado is becoming a kidney donor for a 10-year-old girl, Shalie Yazzie.

Yazzie has been on dialysis for the last three years after a medical condition left her with kidney failure.
