Career-driven milspouses should not have to take a pay cut because they are working remotely or will PCS with their service member every few years. It is wrong to put a cap on military spouse pay because of the sacrifices they must make as a military family.

We have VirtForce's own attorney breaking down the pros and cons of both, so you can figure out which employment classification works best for the kind of remote work you are looking for. 

It comes down to more freedom or more support.

Independent contractors have the flexibility to set their own schedules and choose their own equipment, but they must have the discipline to save for retirement and do their own taxes. For employees, those things are taken care of by the company.
