I wanted to share my story of police harassment after giving some thought to the Derek Chauvin verdict being announced. Police harassment has been going on for far too long. While I'm happy for George Floyd's family to get some closure as well as Chauvin being held accountable for his actions, I wonder if it's too little too late.

Just as Black History doesn't begin with slavery, the religion of Christianity also doesn't start with white people and the United States. There is a narrative among blacks and other people of color that Christianity is a white religion that was created to oppress people of color.
