Bob has led the MUA in Queensland to carry on its tradition as a trailblazing union, and the most progressive in all Australia. In his time as seceetary, he has consistently taken a militant stand in defence of workers rights, indigenous land rights struggles and refugee rights. • Langports College lockout
Today on the show we were joined by Independent Education Union - Queensland & Northern Territory Branch organiser Aaron Watson, who filled us in on the lockout of teachers at Langports English College.
In our opinion, a grubby action indeed, and a clear instance of anti-union thuggery used to intimidate teachers, all because they dare asked for fair wages and respect and recognition for their work.
That aside, its incredibly heartening to hear of workers standing up to bullies to demand whats fair, not to mention the showing of solidarity being expressed from across the union movement.

And later in the show we discuss union news and workplace actions happening around the place including updates on National Union of Workers and the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining and Energy Union, and upcoming events.
