When you decide the life you have will not be better than it is, you're right. It won't unless you decide to take the action to be more, have more, and do more to help get you closer to that goal. Getting what you want requires a goal, a plan to do the work, and consistency to do the same thing no matter how boring, tedious, or tiresome it is. Today's guest is a prime example of what can happen when you make things happen.
Lomeli Delgado is the founder and owner of Texas Front Yard BBQ and Catering in San Antonio, Texas. They've been serving up some of the most tender, fall-off-the-bone turkey legs mixed with Spanish rice, shrimp, elote', and mac and cheese. That's just the tip of the menu. Lomeli started his business when he was still in Sales at Budweiser.
In this episode, Lomeli and Patrick reconnect after meeting many years ago in 2019. Lomeli was one of the very first clients for Trailer King Builders and they have a very candid conversation about life, raising children, the food truck industry, and the impenetrable mindset required to show up as a leader and innovator in the food industry.

Patrick Bolanos is a serial entrepreneur, business owner, and CEO of Trailer King Builders in Houston, Texas.
He was raised in Nicaragua, exposed to extreme poverty, and also had the fortune of being exposed to life in the United States traveling back and forth to both countries.
After college, Patrick’s career took him into the corporate world of banking where he learned the important lessons of understanding what you’re selling and why it’s important to believe in it.
Back in December of 2017, Patrick was fired from his job as a CFO for a Restaurant Group. With only $500 to his name, rent due, his wife, 3 children at home, and one on the way, he was forced to figure out how to pull his family out of this financial abyss that was strangling his life.
There are things in life we are not built for, but we do them anyway. It could come from a place of restlessness, circumstances, or even a higher calling. At the end of the day, there is a quick way to get to the place you're intended to be. It comes through the process of running......physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Brent Knott is a serial entrepreneur and is the owner of 3 brick and mortar locations that wrap vehicles, as well as a digital marketing agency. He's highly focused on building a culture that has allowed him to empower his employees, managers, and executives, which allowed him to do a deep dive into living his best life.
Today, Patrick and Brent have a highly connected conversation about what it means to really build a powerful culture inside of a business. It has allowed him to remove himself from the day-to-day operations of his business, and allow others to thrive. They talk about running and the direct correlation it has to life and business, how to handle difficult situations at work, and how to find the inspiration to keep moving forward.

Life doesn't always start the way you think it should. There are moments when you recognize something isn't right, someone is not right, and instinctually you know there is a better way to live life. You begin to form opinions, and then you meet people who share their lives and experiences only to be able to confirm that what you thought is true.......you can have a magnificent life, but certain things are required starting with doing the hard work.......

One thing you can count on in life is the pendulum will swing. You’ll find love, and lose it. You’ll have money, and go broke. You’ll try something and fail. This week, Patrick takes a deep dive one-on-one with you to share the reason he joined a couple of Masterinds. It wasn’t something that happened overnight, but a gradual realization that he had hit a ceiling. This week, Patrick flashes back almost to the date of when he was laid off from his job as CFO of a regional Mexican restaurant chain.
